Meet Our Founder, Tajuana Johnson, APN
Tajuana Johnson is currently a nurse practitioner practicing in Chicago, IL. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2002 from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Six years later, she received a Master of Science in Nursing Degree from Saint Xavier University in Chicago. She has been in the medical field for more than 14 years and has worked as an Advanced Practice Nurse for six years.
During her career as a nurse, she has practiced maternal health in a number of Chicago’s top hospitals, including Northwestern Memorial Health Care System and Loyola University Hospital. She also practiced primary care as an Advanced Practice Nurse at the Advocate Health System, treating common illnesses in infants, children, and adults, as well as performing adult, child, and sports physicals.
Tajuana loves what she does and enjoys patient interaction while teaching all populations about health. In 2013, she started Nurses to the Rescue to fulfill her passion of educating children and young adults while providing health care. Her focus is education and meeting the demands of school and employee qualifications for enrollment and employment. School, sports, and work physicals are some of the most accessible ways to educate and meet the needs of these populations’ requirements.
